Most people don’t know this, but there are elephant bones on Mount Kilimanjaro at 15,000 ft, many miles above their natural habitat. Some people think it’s a mystery that an animal would hike this high on the mountain, while other scientists theorize that the elephant was licking rocks that are full of minerals. It’s said that many elephants licked the rocks so much on Kilimanjaro that it has formed big caves on the mountain. Whether this is true, I do not know.

Antelope bones have been found on the mountain too.
